Taking Time to Smell the Roses

This was done with colored pencils on 11 x 14 Bristol. It started because my eldest son had given me a rose for Valentines Day, and I wanted to do more than just take a picture of it. I decided to put in native botanicals, and our northeasten cottontails. Included in the pic are: arrowwood, harebane, eyebright, morning glories, and of course a red rose!
