Photo overload

I started Art Auction Worldwide 5 May 2008 and I'm still surprised to see it still growing... I'm not bragging but I think it's one of the best art social sites on ning at this time. But I now fear we maybe entering into a bit of a proablem with our memory provided free to us from ning... every social site has a limit on their memory for posting photos and videos and ning says it's approimately 5000 photos... we presently have about 4800 posted ...that means once we reach our max we will not be… Continue

Just my thoughts

I've been thinking alot about how i can help develope this site into something we are all proud of .. a place where everyone can share their thoughts about their art and others.... i do not want it to get like art wanted... where everyone is wanting everbody else to make nice comments to their work.... a place you do not have to pay to hear comments about your work... comments that really mean something not words to get you to comment back on the other persons work....I'm trying to build a site… Continue

Ron Atkin: PHIL CASHDOLLAR'S SOUL PORTRAIT.

(Image 14 of 18) Copyright © Ron Atkin

PHIL CASHDOLLAR'S Soul Portrait. Adolf Hitler another artist said Art must be the messenger of noble and beautiful things, of all that is natural and healthy. No sacrifice will have been too great in achieving this goal. Rejected as an easel painter he became obsessed with cleaning up the world of all forms of creativity that he in his particular incarnation considered to be using sordid imagination to kill the soul of a people. Hitlers concept of art was beauty through an outer manipulation of form, to copy the copies of copies. The result was sterility. He hung his ideas of beauty on a washing line of power, and in the process of cleansing these forms the baby was thrown out with what he considered to be the dirty water. The baby was the same energy that had produced Bach, Durer and Beethoven. Abstraction in the dictionary says the act of withdrawing. In other words a desire to find a space devoid of conflicting opposites, yet still containing the flow of cosmic energy. Looking into a fire/candle can give you a glimpse of this space less space. It wipes out the problems of mankinds attempts to turn a temporary dream into concrete. 30 grams of anthrax can wipe out the whole of the USA. 30 grams of Hitlers brain wiped out a similar number sixty years ago. 30 grams of red ochre can create a doorway back to reality. Hitler reversed the Buddhist swastika and so created the jackboot to replace love. So began the long exhibition of his penis being paraded throughout the world arising out of a jackboot and ejaculating bullets, bombs and gas chambers. Power was his palette and peoples blood his pigment. His female half left in disgust and temporary changed into Lilith, who then marched round Europe creating destruction wherever she could. He gave the German Nation a cross to carry carved out of unemployment and inflation. Then using the black path created by the reversed swastika he nurtured in their minds an abstract picture of a master race with himself as the figurehead. He envisioned his canvas would last a thousand years, it lasted 2,085 days. Throughout these days he screamed in front of this easel altar as the thorn of artistic rejection was slowly extracted from his soul. The Nation hypnotized by this catharsis, became nurse, doctor and priest in an unconscious attempt to release him from his self imposed pain. Western art is full of diversity because it is the only way for the soul to express its unconscious lack of a creative reincarnation blueprint. The canvas, pile of bricks or pickled cow is the battlefield for it to try to crystallize its journey. Dealers (art priests) then amass collections of these catharsis screams and put them from time to time on the altar of cleansing purification the auction house. Here vast sums of money are poured over them in a baptismal deification ceremony, comparable to choosing a Pope. Money in its positive aspect is energy, in its negative it amplifies the scream. It is not surprising Francis Bacon painted a Pope screaming. When art is collected in a cave/home and some galleries, for spiritual reflection, then love becomes the altar; provided it was purchased with love and not a cheque book. Phils SOULSCAPE, like all combat personnel, that experience the BLOOD of war, have a damaged soulscape. Phil, using a brush and canvas has healed a part of it and found/created HIS paradise. He is a rare soul to have had the strength and courage to forge this beauty out of BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS.
